My Grammy 2011 Beauty Picks

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's day! Here are my beauty picks for this year's Grammys.
Lea Michelle looked stunning with glowing skin, full lashes and a vibrant pink lip. Shiny, loose waves  with a center part completed her sexy yet sophisticated look. She kept her look polished, pretty and sweet, I loved it! Look at that dress! Amazing. I love the ruffles, button detail, and the peek-a-boo lace. It's sexy because it shows just enough, the key is to pick one part of the body to show off, in this case her legs, and leave the rest to the imagination.

Kelly Osborne looked great! Usually she opts for black and not always does she hit the nail on the head with her style but I think she chose perfectly this time. The soft lavender, one-shoulder ruffle dress was cinched at the waist accentuating her curves nicely and I like the bow Oh, so much. She kept everything else simple, sparkly platforms and dangly earrings. As for her monochromatic beauty look, it was complimentary to the dress but not too matchy-matchy. I love monochromatic looks because they're easy to pull off and very flattering on all skin tones. Her sleek straight locks work perfectly to balance the volume in the dress.

I loved Katy Perry's two-toned shadow, it was playful and appropriately glittery. Her makeup artist said, "Katy's look was angelic, sparkly and ethereal, I wanted to play off the textures in the dress and wings." He swept a lavender cream shadow topped with Makeup For Ever's Glitter and then a spring green onto the bottom lash line. Tons of lashes and a bubblegum pink lip finished the look. Her intensely dark hair, that was kept simple with bouncy curls and a center part, flatters her porcelain skin perfectly, I'm glad she got rid of those colorful highlights she was rocking a bit ago for this look.

I wasn't impressed with her choice of dress, I thought it it looked like a sparkly bustier with a curtain wrapped around her. Oh, and then last minute angel wings popped on for the heck of it. She has a lovely figure, she could've looked tons better in something more formal.

The smokey, cat-eyes on Dianna Agron had a rocker-chic edge that had all eyes on her.  I liked that they were kept smolder-y and not raccoon-y, too dark shadow makes for the wrong kind of contrast. The smokey eye was softened by adding a touch of brown at the crease, while peach cheeks and a nude lip kept it simple. Her sophisticated goth look was done right, lots of black in all the right ways. Her updo had the right amount of volume at the crown and was sleek on the sides complimenting the winged eye liner.

Another monochromatic beauty look done right was for Selena Gomez. Smooth, contoured skin was the perfect canvas for a shimmery, gold shadow and full lashes that made her eyes sparkle. A pouty, neutral lip color one notch brighter than her natural lip color, was all it took to complete the look. Her artist, Karen Mitchell, used CoverGirl's Lip Perfection lip color in Siren to achieve the perfect color. The middle part is quite the go-to style these days. As are long smooth, shiny relaxed waves like the ones that Selena chose to finish the look with.

Everyone was talking about her champagne/gold gown- it was slinky, shimmery, and hugged curves in the right way. I like the exaggerated length too, it adds a touch of Old-Hollywood glamour. To keep the look monochromatic, she carried a matching clutch and sparkly jewelry.
